What To Expect On Your First Visit

Visiting any church, for the very first time can be a tough experience. You may think of questions such as: Where to go? What to wear? What time to show up? What’s here for my kids? What can I expect? We hope to answer a few of your questions here to put you a little more at ease.

If there is something we missed on this list, please give us a call or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you are new to the area or if it has been a long time since you have attended church at all, we hope your first visit with us will be a great experience!

What should I expect when I arrive?

We have a warm welcome waiting for you. Our staff and ushers will be happy to direct you to our various classes and to answer any questions you might have.

Our final rule of faith and practice is God's Word. You will find that we are an old-fashioned, Bible teaching church that preaches from the King James Version Bible.

What is available for my kids?

Starting at nursery, there is something for every age child from birth through high school. These classes are staffed with friendly, loving, and well-qualified teachers and helpers to give your child a fun and memorable experience.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code for members or guests. Many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit with us.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Wick Road Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find warmth from our church family, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

I’m Not a Baptist… Can I Still Attend?

It is our desire that Wick Road Baptist Church would be a church for everyone that has a desire to have a relationship God. You do not have to come from a Baptist background. We are convinced that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it is sufficient to point any sincere person to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you have a desire to know and have a relationship with God, we invite you to join us!
